Get Some Sleep

You should already know that getting sleep is important. Not getting enough rest makes you look tired which other people  do notice. Have you ever had someone say to you "you look tired"?  What they're really saying is "you're not looking too pretty today".

Sleep allows our body to recuperate and repair damages done throughout the day, allowing our brains to function at an optimal level. There is also a connection between growth and rest, especially for children and teens, as studies have shown that growth hormone is released while we sleep.

How much sleep do we need? It differs from person to person, but most experts agree that adults need 7-9 hours of sleep at night. You might need more hours to wake up feeling rested or you might need less. The most important thing  is to make sleep a priority and make sure you get enough of it.
